101 Dalmatians! Well......almost!

Just one day ahead of schedule, Mazie delivered 9 beautiful puppies, between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., in just less than 3 hours! Boy, did she keep Dru and I hopping! I don't know how I would have ever done this by myself, without the assistance of my super husband, Dru. He was great at handing me ribbon, the suction, towels, and newspaper, right on cue. Thanks honey! We did have a 10th puppy, a little liver girl, that was stillborn.
As of right now, we have 7 girls, 2 boys, and NO patches. The nose trim is starting to appear gradually, as will the eye trim. I still have no idea what color they are, ie. liver or black. This evening, when we weigh them, Dru and I will try and decipher that, but just know that it could be subject to change!
All the puppies are vigorously nursing. Right now, they're pretty good at taking turns. Half of them nurse, while the other half is sleeping.....so far, it's working. Keep it up little babies!

An exhausted Mazie. She did great!

Almost done, notice all the birth gunk on Mazie. I almost looked that bad myself!

The whole puppy pile!
I still haven't been to sleep, in over 30 hours. I think I'm to wound up from all the excitement here at Summit Dalmatians, to be still for very long.
Check back soon for more pictures and puppy progress!
